Here I will teach you how to perform every skill move in FIFA 13. Skill moves are advanced dribbling tricks that players can do in game, in order to beat defenders, and look like pros while doing so.  Skill moves in FIFA 13 have changed; not only are there new tricks to perform, the moves seem more difficult to pull off compared to other FIFA games. But this only makes the feeling of pulling them off that much more satisfying.

There's two important things to remember when you're learning how to perform skill moves. One, you must be in control of the ball with your player at the correct pace (most need you to be dribbling but not sprinting), and be holding down the left trigger (LT on Xbox 360, L2 on PS3) while attempting a skill move. Once the trigger is held down, all moves are simply a movement on the right analog stick (RS), or a combination of buttons.
Second, you must always pay attention to which way your player is facing, as it changes the direction the analog sticks needs to be moved. If you're in practice mode running behind the player, 'up' would be straight up, where the player is facing. If you're in game, running straight towards the left goal net, 'up' would be considered left, meaning you move the right stick left to perform the up action of the skill move.

Only certain players can perform higher level skill moves.  Every player has their own skill-star ranking; know the skill ranking on the players you often use to get the most of out skill moves in FIFA 13. Choose your favourite 5 star skiller and take him to the practice pitch to try out these skill moves before trying them in a real game.

Here are the skill moves available in FIFA 13. I included separate controls for PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as a notes section to help you perform the move.  My list includes advanced tricks not shown in the FIFA 13 skill moves manual. Some of these moves are quite difficult, practice and find your favourites!

Two-Star Skill Moves  2*

Juggling tricks must be performed while juggling (holding L2/LT and tapping R1/RB) Most tricks here require 5 star skills.

Legend:
Side means either left or right; the trick can usually be performed on either side
LS means Left analog Stick
RS means Right analog Stick
L2 and LT is the left trigger; the skill move modifier
